Title:
Innovative Advances and Excellence in Teaching and Research in the Social and Legal Sciences

Guest editors: Víctor Luis Gutiérrez Castillo, (University of Jaén). Maria Dolores Oliver Alfonso, (University of Sevilla). Gema Albort Morant (University of Sevilla, AJICEDE Association).

Description:

In the context of the European Higher Education Area, innovation in teaching and research in Social and Legal Sciences appears as a fundamental axis to face contemporary challenges. The evolution of key competences, from the traditional communicative and analytical ones to the emerging green and technological competences, requires a constant updating of academic curricula and pedagogical strategies. In this sense, the incorporation of digital tools and active methodologies not only transforms the teaching-learning processes, but also allows a better adaptation of university faculty to the new paradigms of teaching quality assessment. The imminent implementation of the Teaching Sexennial, within the framework of the DOCENTIA program, reinforces the need for innovative and quality teaching, aligned with international standards. This special issue explores how the Social and Legal Sciences can respond to these challenges through innovative pedagogical approaches, the integration of technology in teaching, and the promotion of effective knowledge transfer that impacts both academia and the socioeconomic fabric.
